How much do marketers really know about ad fraud? tribeOS hired an independent research firm to find out. They surveyed over 270 high-level decision-makers in the United States and Canada and confirmed our suspicions: most marketers lack a sufficient understanding of ad fraud crime.
A measly 11% of the marketers surveyed know what ad fraud is and how it works.
In fact, nearly a quarter have never even heard of ad fraud even though half of these respondents have ten or more years of digital advertising experience. And a third overall are completely ignorant on how much is stolen each year.
Over half of those who’ve heard of ad fraud recognize it as either the biggest, or one of the biggest, problems facing the marketing industry. Despite this, 60% simply do not consider ad fraud as something that personally affects them.
They think that their campaigns haven’t, or probably haven’t, been affected by fraud. But with $51 million being stolen every day, it is your problem.
